We investigated the induction periods of norsethie and withelite by polarized optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction measurements, pH measurements, inductively coupled plasma measurements and total organic carbon measurements. In this talk, we will show features of the solution-mediated-transformation kinetics of norsethite from the relation between nucleation rate and supersaturation.
