This paper describes the overview of electromagnetic
phenomena mainly prior to an earthquake (EQ)(so-colled
Seismo Electromagnetics). Initially this paper will report
on the history of seismo-electromagnetics, findings for
the 1995 Kobe EQ and the 2011 Tohoku EQ, recent
statistical results, latest achievement (lithosphere-
atomosphere-ionosphere coupling), prospective, etc.
