*Hohoko Asahina1, Honoka Oinuma1 (1.Tokyo Metropolitan Tama High School of Science and Technology)

Keywords:Soil, Abolished School

More and more public schools are being abolished in recent years. The number of schools abolished is 6,811 from 2002 to 2015. Above 1,700 school facilities are unused . We started our research with the purpose of finding out how to utilize soil in schoolyards. To do so we make comparison between the soil of fields and of schoolyard using EDS and WDX. In conclusion the soil in schoolyards is short of nutrition so plants do not grow.
