[O03-P19] Construct quaking models by the geological structure varieties

Keywords:Nagamachi-Rifu Fault, Quaking model, Kitchen Seismology

The Rifu-Nagamachi fault is known as a huge active fault in Miyagi prefecture area. My school is just standing on the fault. Our school geoscience team searched the boling core samples which was taken when our school constructed. Then we found numerous volcanic ash layers among the sediment sand-grain layers.

After we observed the layers, in order to mention what would be happen when the earth quake with fault activity occur, we constructed the geologic model with some cookies and chocolate chips. Our seismic model has not only sediment simulation, but also constructed electric-controlled quaking model, and observed the soil breakings. We investigated the ground - building affection with thinking number of the ash layers.

We observed the quaked soils with numerous ash layers among the sediment sands are more break, but more stable sink condition.
