[O03-P25] Development of the equatorial telescope for from the beginners to the advanced astrophotographer at low cost

*Jun Ikeda1, *Shimpei Iwasaki1 (1.Kaijo Senior High School)

Keywords:Equatorial telescope, Astrophotography, Telescope

We made an equatorial telescope to turn camera and telescope so that they will track stars. It’s necessary for astrophotography. The stepping motor which I can set rotational speed in detail and a gear with 120 teeth enable stable rotation of heavy equipment and precise tracking. In the future, we’re going to improve the structure, realize intuitive operation with a smart phone, simplify the task of alignment to the Polaris so anyone can make it and use it. Then we will write down the procedure and share on the Internet. We will also try various things and write them on the procedure as options because the greatest advantage of a self-made machine is that it’s possible to select desired functions.
