[O03-P49] Mystery of hot and cold Hatoyama

*Yohei Yamamoto1, *Yusuke Yoshimura1, *Atsuhide Machida1, *Syotarou Shinoda1 (1.Saitama prefectural Kumagaya High School)

Keywords:air temperature, land use, radiative cooling

Hatoyama, a town placed on center of Saitama prefecture, has an inland climate, and it has a unique feature:

Hot in summer season, but also cold in winter season.

Recent years, it is often observed a lot in winter that the minimum temperature of Hatoyama is colder than Chichibu’s one; a town on basin, which means a flat area, and high altitude.

We tried to solve this mystery by investigating the data from Amedas, experiments in topographic models, and measurements of temperature in reproduced state of different land uses.
