[O03-P54] The Way of Improving Salt-Damaged Soil

Sezaki Kanon1, Tamaki Ueno1, *Ai Kitanishi1 (1.Tennoji Senior High School Attached to Osaka Kyoiku University)

Keywords:Salt damage, Soil, Calcium

If soils become damaged from salt because of tsunami, plants and vegetables do not grow well. In our last year's research, it was proved that we can improve the salt-damaged soils by adding calcium compounds. So we have tried to find a way of improving salt-damaged soils by adding natural calcium, such as shells. We examined the effects of natural calcium on the growth of radish sprouts and the relations between the amounts of calcium compounds and the remaining Na+.
