In early July 2018, heavy rain disasters happend in West part of Japan, floods and landslides occurred in many areas, including Mabi-cho in Kurashiki-shi, Okayama Prefecture. We worked with students on crisis mapping activities to implement maps of disaster affected areas as Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI). Specifically, navigation guide maps, evacuation centers / temporary toilets locations etc. were published on the map. In this session, we will report on current issues toward generalization of crisis mapping approach and future.
