[PEM15-10] SuperDARN Hokkaido Pair of (HOP) radars and mid-latitude SuperDARN: today and future
キーワード:中緯度SuperDARN
The Super Dural Auroral Radar Network (SuperDARN) is a network of HF radars. At present there are total of 36 SuperDARN radars located in high- to mid-latitude regions of both northern (23) and southern (13) hemispheres. Mid-latitude SuperDARN radars started operation about 15 years ago and have been acquiring scientific data, which could be obtained using the pre-existing high-latitude radars. The SuperDARN Hokkaido Pair of (HOP) radars consisting of Hokkaido East / West radars are located equatorward of 40 degrees geomagnetic latitude (currently located at the lowest geomagnetic latitude) and have been storing important scientific data during quiet to very active periods. In this presentation accomplishments, present status and future directions of the SuperDARN HOP radars and mid-latitude SuperDARN be reviewed.
