[PEM18-P02] Energy conversion process at the lunar wake boundary

*Tomoko Nakagawa1, Hideo Tsunakawa2, Yoshifumi Saito3 (1.Information and Communication Engineering, Tohoku Institute of Technology, 2.Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, School of Science, Tokyo Institute of Technology , 3.JAXA,ISAS)

Keywords:lunar wake, solar wind, vortex

At the lunar wake boundary, the solar wind ions are accelerated toward the center of the wake due to the pressure gradient, and produce vortex motion whose direction is consistent with the polarization of the magnetic fluctuations. The kinetic energy of the solar wind is converted into the electromagnetic energy and then field-aligned electric current.
