[U07-06] Evolution of catastrofic landslides due to rapid valley incision and filling since Last Glacial Age in central Nepal Himalayas

★Invited Papers

*Hiroshi YAGI1 (1.Faculty of Art, Science and Education, Yamagata University)

Keywords:Nepal Lessor Himalaya, rapid valley incision & valley filling, destabilization of valley slope, inner gorge, last glacial age

There remain higher landslides located on the upper slope of inner gorge, that was formed due to sever valley incision before 20k in the Last Glacial Age.

Sever valley incision caused destabilization of valley slope and the consequent valley filling stabilized the valley slope again. Present landslides are caused by re-incision of the filling of the Last Glacial Age.
