Biogeosciences Section is unique compared to other sections at JPGU. Other sections have strong affiliation with big national projects, such as wide-sale observation of earthquake, space mission, climate change observation, etc. As a result, Biogeosciences Section has difficulty to establish main or leading subjects in JPGU. Scientific subjects and themes are often overlapped between Biogeosciences Section and other sections. This makes presence of Biogeosciences Section unclear at JPGU. In order to promote Biogeosciences Sections, I am going to suggest some points. It will be important to establish strategic collaborations with other sections of JPGU and other communities, such as microbiology, ecology, agriculture, and /or bio-engineering fields. I think that organizing temporal sections with other communities or having invite speaker from other community will be effective. Biogeosciences Sections should have more functions as an interface with others.
