convener:Kazuo Amano(Center for Spatial Information Science, The University of Tokyo ), Takashi Oguchi(Center for Spatial Information Science, The University of Tokyo), Masaki Ito(Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo), Kayoko Yamamoto(University of Elctro-Communications)

The previous session "Social Media and Earth and Planetary Sciences" has been held nine times in the past, targeting the utilization of social media (SNS) for earth and planetary sciences, and many novel research results have been reported. On the other hand, the development of SNS in the meantime is also remarkable, and the importance of research linked with other information systems is increasing. In addition to the use of conventional SNSsocial media, we would like to call a wide range of papers aimed at the development of earth and planetary sciences in relation to human social activities such as applications of navigation systems and action support systems etc. Furthermore, we welcome broad topics relevant to the session title, including research in human geography on nature and human interactions and social utilization of geologic materials.
