convener:Masaki N Nishino(Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, Institute of Space and Astronautical Science), Masahiro KAYAMA(Department of General Systems Studies, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, The University of Tokyo), Hiroshi Nagaoka(Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency), Yusuke Nakauchi(Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency)

Scientific data sets acquired by Japanese lunar mission SELENE (Kaguya) have become the standard of the lunar sciences. Other missions such as Chandrayaan-1, LRO, GRAIL, LCROSS, LADEE, Artemis, and Chang'e series as well as ground observations are also providing new knowledges of the Moon. Apollo/Luna samples and lunar meteorite analyses are also being advanced. In concurrence with these studies, some countries including Japan are planning near-future lunar missions. In this session, we will discuss scientific results based on newly acquired lunar data, strategies for future missions, lunar sample analyses, and theoretical and experimental studies of lunar sciences.
