Today a number of missions to Mars are ongoing or planned by NASA, JAXA, and their partners (Curiosity Rover, InSight, MMX, Mars2020, ExoMars, MRO, Odyssey, Mars Sample Return, etc.). Such missions and other activities are providing us with various kinds of and large amounts of high-quality data, revealing the present and past Mars. In this session, the new views of Mars based on recent missions as well as the scientific backgrounds that connects these missions are presented. Open discussion with speakers, participants, and science leads from NASA/JAXA will be included.
