Mt. Iwate, called Tsugaru-Fuji, is a stratovolcano located to the southwest of Hirosaki City. Many springs distribute at the foot of volcano body. We used transient tracers such as 3H, CFCs and SF6, to estimate the residence time of the springs. Based on the CFCs and SF6 results, the residence time of the springs in Mt. Iwaki were estimated to be 20 to 30 years.
