[HGM03-07] Evaluation of the value of active fault landform and current status of protection

*Kuniyasu Mokudai1 (1.Tohoku Gakuin University)

Keywords:active fault, protection of landform, geoheritage

Active fault landform is a natural heritage created by earthquakes, and some are protected in Japan. However, it is difficult to protect active faults because it is necessary to protect the topography mainly composed of soil. The method of protecting an active fault depends on how its value is evaluated.
