The latest results of CSES mission
Zhima, Xuhui Shen, Jianping Huang
The first probe of CSES (China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite) mission was launched on February 2nd, 2018 at an latitude of 507 km in the upper ionosphere. The CSES -01 operates 15.2 orbits around the Earth per day by a speed of 7.8 km/s , with a 5-day revisit period for the same area. The orbital period around the Earth is ~ 94.6 minutes. The first-hand scientific observations show that CSES has recorded a number of interesting natural events, showing its good inflight observing capability on natural phenomenon. In this presentation, we mainly introduce CSES’s observations of the geomagnetic field, the electromagnetic waves, the VLF radio waves, the geomagnetic event and earthquake activities.
