[MIS21-06] Role of University in the Geopark – Activity of the University of Hyogo in the San'in Kaigan UGGp -

At the UNESCO Global Geopark, we need to learn and understand about all earth's activity with all people on the earth. But it is not easy to understand about geological phenomenon for general people. Because generally geological phenomenon is large scale, so people cannot understand it easily. The UNESCO Global Geopark recommends close collaboration with research institutions such as universities in order to understand the earth's activity and educate geological phenomenon for general people. In 2010, San’in Kaigan UGGp established the campus of University of Hyogo within Geopark area. In this presentation, We will discuss the role of universities in the Geopark, from some activity of the University of Hyogo in the San'in Kaigan UGGp
