[O04-P07] the current situation and improvement plans of light pollution around Ichikawa city

*Mutsumi Goto1 (1.Ichikawagakuen Ichikawa high school)

Keywords:light pollution, SQM; Sky Quality Meter, Ichikawa city

We measured the brightness of the night sky by using SQM(Sky Quality Meter). Based on the measurement results in June and October, we made comparisons under different conditions, such as the season, weather, and surrounding environment, and the current state of light pollution was considered. The results showed that the amount of pollutants in the air, as well as the number of surrounding populations and lighting, was related to light pollution. Removing unnecessary lighting, avoiding cars to reduce emissions, and reducing the amount of garbage in our lives could be a countermeasure for light pollution.
