The Sanriku Geopark covers the area from Aomori Prefecture through the coast of Iwate Prefecture and down to Miyagi Prefecture. Hachinohe City Marine Science Museum is located on the northern edge of that and to that belongs to the Mariento Chikyu Tanken club. We learned about Sanriku Geopark from 2019. And we announced this activity at the jpGU2019 and the Japanese Geoparks Network Meeting at Ohoita.

There is 2 Geosites in Hirono town by the sea. One is the Taneichi beach park. Sea cliffs of Hirono town, for example Mado-Iwa and nearby, you can observe oyster fossils located around the rocky areas. Other fossils such as the amount and mosasaurus fossils were also discovered from the same area. And can enjoy the scenery of the herringbone cross-stratification sequence and the sand nodules. They are shown in Figures 1 and Picture 1.

Another one is the sea urchin farming beds was a characteristic of the fishing industry in Hirono town and is a feature of Taneichi Layer.

We had the field trips to Hirono town and some lectures by Sanriku Geopark authorized guide. Then we thought that this geosite focused on the Taneichi Layer and needed a storyline description.
So, we wrote GEO-KAMISHIBAI to easy to understand the history of the earth and people's lives. Unfortunately, we can't exhibit GEO-KAMISHIBAI because of an Corona-Virus(COVID-19) problem. We'd like to postpone it after opening to the public about the value of the GEO-KAMISHIBAI.
