Building materials are classified into artificial drying types and natural drying types. Artificially dried wood is less glossy and less durable than naturally dried wood. Also, artificial drying needs many initial costs and a limit should be set in place. The purpose of this study is to examine the method of natural drying of trees in the field and to make buildings using these wood. In the Woods for Field Practice Owned by Sagano High School located in the Satoyama area of the Kyoto city area, cedar and cypress with a breast height of about 20 cm were cut down, the bark was immediately peeled off, and dried in the air. As a result, dependent on the weather, in September, it was found that it took about two weeks to reach the desired final moisture content. From November to February, the water content declined slowly.
