[O04-P54] Project Regeneration of Gensei’s Bamboo Volume 1
Keywords:Bamboo, Soil Profile, Soil Physical Property, Soil Classification
Before the renovation of Sagano High School's buildings, there were three points related to the founder of the school, Chashitsu-rijinken (tea ceremony room), a stone monument, and Gensei's bamboo. But now, that bamboo has been lost. The purpose of this study was to research the physical properties of the soil needed to be transplanted in order to regenerate Gensei's bamboo. The survey items are the confirmation of the soil layers by using a soil sampler, the measurement of the soil hardness by using a Yamanaka-type Soil Hardness Scale and the measurement of soil crackle strength by using a Hasegawa-type Soil Penetrometer (H-60). The on-site soil was composed of heterogeneous soil due to development and was classified as man-made soil. Also, we found many breccia of about 3 cm in size. Since there was no layer that inhibited root elongation and the proportion of gas phase was high, it was considered that bamboo transplantation was possible without any particular problems. From now on, we plan to do a similar survey and compare where the bamboo is growing.
