[PAE22-01] Population studies of exoplanetary atmospheres with next generation of space and ground telescopes

*Giovanna Tinetti1 (1.UCL)

Keywords:Exoplanets, Atmospheres, Spectroscopy

In most fields of astronomy (supernovae, brown dwarfs, black holes), revolutions in our understanding of the main processes often came from the study of statistical behaviour using large samples as opposed to individual studies. As the next generation of space and ground-based telescopes come online, we are potentially reaching this important step in the study of exoplanet atmospheres. It is therefore paramount to prepare for the new wealth of information and challenges associated with future large scale studies.
In this paper I will briefly review the instruments coming online in the next decade and present state of art models and tools to analyse and interpret observations of exoplanetary atmospheres.
