[PAE22-P11] Stability of resonant trapping of planetesimals during the migration of a giant planet

Recently revealed close-in exo-gas-giants contain much heavy elements. Standard planetary formation theory cannot explain the origin of their heavy elements, however, the capture of planetesimals via planetary migration might be a source of those heavy elements. We focus on the resonant trapping, which has an important role for the accretion of planetesimals. The stability of resonant trapping, which means how strongly the resonance keep trapping planetesimals under perturbations, like collisions and gravitational interactions between planetesimals, is still not clear. In this study, we investigate the stability of resonant trapping using numerical integration of planetesimals. We expands an analytical equations for resonant trapping obtained by Malhotra 1993. We discuss the relation between the stability of resonant trapping and heavy elements contained in close-in gas giants. Our results would be important for discussing other problems related with resonances, like satellite formation or asteroid distribution in our solar system.
