[SVC47-P10] Holocene volcano of Kazafuki Volcano, Shirouma-Oike volcanoes, central Japan.

Kazafuki volcano, central Japan consist with the northeastern part of Shirouma-Oike volcano. It was believed that there was no Holocene eruption at this volcano. Based on geological field survey, the tephra layer for this volcano was newly discovered. The 14C dating result of the soil layer just below the tephra layer that is newly discovered is about 4,000 yr BP. In addition, the latest magmatic eruption unit has a 14C dating result of about 8800 yr BP. It makes be clear that Kazafuki volcano had erupted several times during the Holocene.
