[MIS25-01] Understanding of fine structure of cumulonimbus using new observational method

★Invited Papers

*Fumiaki Kobayashi1 (1.National Defense Academy)

Keywords:extreme weather, tornado, cumulonimbus, weather radar

Extreme weather, such as local heavy rain, tornado and downburst, and supertyhoon, is caused by developing cumulonimbus (e.g., supercell). Understanding of fine structure of cumulonimbus is important at the points of weather forecasting and disaster mitigation. In this lecture, the front of cumulonimbus observation using new observational method would be introduced.
