Scientific data sets acquired by the Japanese lunar mission SELENE (Kaguya) have become the standard of the lunar sciences. Other missions such as Chandrayaan-1, LRO, GRAIL, LCROSS, LADEE, Artemis, and Chang'e series and ground observations also provide new knowledge of the Moon. Apollo/Luna samples and lunar meteorite analyses are also being advanced. In concurrence with these studies, some countries, including Japan, are planning near-future lunar missions. This session will discuss scientific results based on newly acquired lunar data, strategies for future missions, lunar sample analyses, and theoretical and experimental studies of lunar sciences.
