The COVID-19 pandemic changed the lives of mankind on a global scale. Research activities and education were severely restricted. However, even during such a severe global pandemic, various research activities from an international perspective, medium- to long-term overseas research programs at overseas universities and research institutes, and the implementation of doctoral programs are increasingly expected to continue in some form. Studying abroad remains one of the most important paths for the career development of young researchers. Therefore, in this session, we would like to share knowledge and experiences of overseas research activities in a pandemic situation. The purpose of this session is to support young researchers facing this challenge.
