[AAS03-P04] Basic experimental results of a new dynamical core that adopts the B-grid staggering on the icosahedral mesh

To fix the checkerboard pattern problem and the poor representation of inertia gravity waves in NICAM, a global convection permitting model, that uses the A-grid staggering of variables horizontally, a new dynamical core that adopts the B-grid staggering has been developed and tested. Results from several basic test cases are shown and discussed.
