[AAS04-P05] Cluster Analysis of Strong Wind Data on the Korean Peninsula during the Non-Typhoon Period.
キーワード:Non-Typhoon, Strong wind, Cluster analysis
In this study, the temporal and spatial characteristics of typhoon-class strong winds that occurred on the Korean Peninsula during the last 19 years (2001–2019) were analyzed. Cluster analysis was conducted on strong winds during the non-typhoon period to explain regional characteristics. The analysis was performed using wind speed data from Automated Synoptic Observing System(ASOS), BOUY, and BEACON. As a result of the analysis, even at nearby points, the intensity and frequency of strong winds during the non-typhoon period were different. In particular, the incidence rate and wind speed of strong winds during the non-typhoon period were very diverse for each of the six clusters. The distribution characteristics of the observation points corresponding to the cluster were also diverse.
Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to consider different analysis criteria for strong winds during the non-typhoon period by classifying regions’ targeting points showing the same strong wind characteristics in terms of disaster prevention.
