[AAS11-P05] An attempt of NOX and CO2 emission evaluation over the Kanto region using WRF-Chem/VPRM model simulations with 1km resolution

This study shows a NOX and CO2 emission evaluation trial over Kanto region using the divergence method with spatial pattern of concentrations reproduced by high-resolution Weather Research and Forecasting model, (1) coupled with Chemistry (WRF-Chem) for simulation of NOX and (2) coupled with Vegetation, Photosynthesis, and Respiration (WRF-VPRM) for simulation of CO2. These model simulations are conducted for May 2018 with 1km spatial resolution for the similar 4th domain using two-way nested setting. Covariation analysis of NOX and CO2 is expected to improve emission estimation of both the species. This attempt is aimed at applications of observation datasets from future satellites, such as GOSAT-GW, for simultaneous measurements of NO2 and CO2.
