Tsunami caused by Nankai Trough Earthquake will disturb marine bottom sediments in Osaka Bay. This disturbance is the first large-scale disturbance for Osaka Bay after the rapid economic growth. Nutrients are released from the sediments, and are utilized for primary production. We conducted the experiment of nutrients release which imitated the disturbance of the marine sediments caused by the tsunami, and estimated release speeds after the redeposition of the sediments. It was suggested that the release speed after the tsunami would be reduced to 1/2 to 2/3 of the present speed.
