India is one of the world's worst hit country due to the Corona pandemic 2019, during which the almost 100 percent populations were required to stay at home for many months in 2020-21, due to the lockdown, it also ceased human activities worldwide in multiple sectors including industrial sector and physical world respectively. During this period industrial waste treatment process changes and as a result it influences the quality of Ganga due to effluent receiving water. To estimate the pandemic impact, at the city level, an integrated modelling approach that enabled everything between households, Industries and rivers is necessary. In the current study, we are developing a framework to achieve the goals for clean water, explore water use and quality changes, associated impacts on treatment systems and Ganga River water quality as a result of city hpuseholds responses to the pandemic. Our preliminary analysis exhibit significant changes to household water utilization under different impact scenarios, but results only indicate remarkable impacts on pollutant concentrations in household wastewater in Roorkee city, Uttarakhand, India. The contamination concentration in the river Ganges as simulated by the model was highest near the city area. Modelled nutrients was found to be the pollutant that rivers were most susceptible as their main source is household wastewater that was significantly changed during the enforced mobility restrictions. Ultimately, this resaerch provides a basis for further developments of water systems integration approaches to predict river water quality with different scenarios.
