[E-11-11] A diagnosis of the Earth-space interface

Tatsuhiro Yokoyama1 (1. Research Institute for Sustainable Humanosphere, Kyoto University)

Space is defined to begin at an altitude of 100 km or 80 km, while the Earth's atmosphere extends up to an altitude of about 1000 km. This interface region is where the International Space Station and many satellites are orbiting. Phenomena in this region have various effects on communication and navigation systems. Observation and research methods of this region will be introduced.
