[G01-05] Current status and issues regarding disaster prevention education for citizens

The Japan Geoscience Union (JpGU) has established a Subcommittee for Disaster Prevention Education under the Educational Affairs Committee with the aim of promoting cooperation between organizations related to disaster prevention and promoting disaster prevention education. As one of the activities of this subcommittee, the authors are working to promote disaster prevention education for citizens. In the first year, FY2021, we gathered information on the current situation regarding citizen disaster prevention education and organized the issues for reference in future activities. In this presentation, we will report on issues related to a multicultural society (for example, providing information to non-native speakers of Japanese and giving consideration to religion) and issues related to how to provide information of earth science in disaster prevention education.
