[HCG26-P05] Climatic and Socio-economic impacts on Flood risk in Tokyo metropolitan area

*Takumi Hariu1, KOJI DAIRAKU1 (1.University of Tsukuba)

Keywords:Flood risk, Risk curve, Frequency-Damage (FD) method

For effective climate change adaption to flood risk in Tokyo metropolitan area, we investigated flood risk curves for Tokyo using conventional Frequency-Damage method (FD method) and improved one, which incorporates effects of climate change on precipitation. We found a significant difference of flood risk curve between the FD method and the improved one. We focused on damage occurrence rate and average damage rate to investigate the cause. It can be caused by the procedure of replacing the damage occurrence rate with the frequency distribution of daily precipitation. For future flood risk assessment, the improvement of the FD method to consider changes in precipitation is important. We will make further verification of the developed method.
