The Japan is a place where various natural disasters frequently occur due to its geographic and geological position on the earth. Since the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, which caused the most devastating natural disaster in recent years, various natural disasters have occurred every year and caused damages. In order to help common residents to predict and cope with these natural disasters, hazard maps have been prepared and published by local governments. We, as geoscience experts, have set up a general incorporated association MINBOU NETWORK to help residents who are not geoscience experts to use the hazard maps accurately. We will present the activities of this general incorporated association.
