[HGG01-P02] Characteristics of charcoal from waste bamboo from oyster farming and its possibility as useful resources

The authors have attempted to reutilize waste bamboos from oyster farming as resources through original charcoal making method during the past few years. The charcoal shows some unique characteristics such as relative high specific surface area, low ash percentage, and high calorific value. In addition, it was confirmed that the charcoal is superior to other types of charcoal in deodorizing. In our presentation, the above characteristics and their possibility as useful resources are discussed.
