[MGI30-03] Adoption of PID standards in national strategies
キーワード:永続的識別子、ナショナルポリシー、オープンサイエンス、学術基盤
Persistent identifiers (PIDs) are important elements of open science infrastructures to ensure FAIR Data principles and enhance the machine-readability and connectivity of metadata. While we have seen the advancement of international PID initiatives in recent years and their emergence as global standards, adopting them at different levels—personal, institutional, and national/regional—presents a variety of challenges both in technical and social contexts. Reconciling with country-specific identifiers is particularly challenging especially when such identifiers have been already embedded in the existing workflow and platforms. The present study reviews ongoing practice from different countries, drawing examples from case studies, recommendations and discussions at both national and international levels, and aims to provide an overview of the degree of PID standards adoption in national strategies.
