[MGI30-12] A Consideration on Sustainability of Science, Open Science and Research Data Infrastructure

*Yasuhiro Murayama1 (1.NICT Knowldge Hub, National Institute of Information and Communications Technology)

Keywords:Open Science, sustainability, research data infrastructure, research data ecosystem

Now the new paradigm such as the concept and principles of Open Science, FAIR data sharing etc. including other new research output management and assessment Sustainability is being increasingly widely spread globally in the various academic fields. From the viewpoint of research (digital, mainly) data management and sharing, building the research data ecosystem a well as the research data infrastructure is also another focus of the international community. Particularly the systems to preserve and manage data and the platform functions tend to be fragile in aspects of technology, workforce, culture, finance and governance etc. This paper is an attempt to discuss the sustainability of the science system and data infrastructure even if the topics which we can handle right now are very small fraction of the entire vision of Open Science.
