[MIS10-09] The development and problems in seismo-ionospheric coupling mechanism

*Xuemin Zhang1, Xuhui Shen2 (1.Institute of Earthquake Forecasting, China Earthquake Administration, 2.National Institute of Natural Hazards, Ministry of Emergency Management of China, Beijing 100085, China)

Keywords:Seismo-ionospehric coupling mechanism, Overlapped DC electric field model, Acoustic gravity waves model, Electromagnetic wave propagation model

The seismo-ionospheric monitoring technology has been quickly developed in recent years, including the satellite observations in topside ionosphere such as CSES, which provides new ideas and techniques for understanding the seismo-ionospheric coupling processes, and short-term and imminent earthquake prediction. The multi mechanisms about sphere coupling processes related to earthquakes are reviewed and summarized since this century, and three channels with realized digital model are mainly introduced, including overlapped DC electric field model, acoustic gravity wave and electromagnetic wave propagation model. Compared with the actual observations at different layers, the contradiction and deficiency in the models are analyzed. Finally the major domains in the seismo-ionospheric coupling mechanism are discussed with synthesized detection system to verify the physical coherence between observations and simulations, among the same parameters detected at ground and satellite, among different parameters, and to examine the key channel for LAIC mechanism.
