The mountain trail of the Hakuba Daisekkei in the nothern Japanese Alps was closed due to several collapses of the snow patch, because the winter periods in 2015/2016 and 2019/2020 were light snow season. In the Hakuba Daisekkei, three accidents have been caused by collapse of snow patch. To know the characteristics of collapse of snow patch, we investigated the position of ice tunnel, the place of collapse, and the phenomenon before collapse.
