Many glacier-derived rock glaciers are distributed in the Kyrgyz Range, northern Tien Shan, Central Asia. There are two types of glacier-derived rock glaciers and moraines are observed at the glacier termini. In the study area, 450 intact (active/inactive) rock glaciers were detected based on the surface motion of the rock glaciers using DInSAR analysis with ALOS-1/PALSAR and ALOS-2/PALSAR-2 data. In this study, we considered the differences in the environmental conditions between glacier-derived rock glaciers and moraines in relation to topographical elements such as areas of rock glacier, glaicer, and rock slope.
