[O08-P76] Description of rocks found in Nishikoiso Coast, especially about carbonate rocks.
The upper Miocene Oiso Formation exposed on the Nishikoiso Coast of Oiso Town, Kanagawa Prefecture, consists mainly of sand and mud alternation, but it contains fossiliferous conglomerates.
In the conglomerates, calcite-based carbonate rocks (calcareous conglomerate, calcareous sandstone, and calcareous mudstone) have been reported, but their supply sources are not well understood.
In this presentation, we will mainly describe the carbonate rock specimens found, and also estimate the formation process of the carbonate rocks based on these specimens.
