[O08-P78] Identification of elements contained in each group by spectroscopic observation of meteors

*Yuki Kato1, *Kazuki Takahashi1 (1.Miyagi Prefecture Furukawa Reimei High School Natural Sciences Astronomical Group)

Hello, we are the Astronomical Group, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Furukawa Reimei High School, Miyagi Prefecture.
First, this research started when I noticed that the color of the meteor changed in the middle when I took a picture of the meteor with a digital single-lens reflex camera. I started my research in 2014, and it is now my 8th year.
The purpose is to "estimate the types of elements related to luminescence from the position of the emission line in the spectroscopic image of a meteor" and "to investigate the characteristics of the contained elements by each meteor shower".
Next is the observation method. The observation method is to first attach a diffraction grating that you made yourself using a blazed diffraction grating to a digital single-lens reflex camera. Next, during the activity period of the meteor shower, install a camera and take a picture while paying attention to the orientation of the diffraction grating.
Next, about the analysis method.
In the conventional analysis method, first, the light of an element whose wavelength is known is incident on the same position as the meteor on the image and photographed, and the scale of the diffraction grating is obtained. Next, the wavelength of each emission line is calculated from the interval between the emission lines on the image. Finally, guess the element derived from the luminescence.
Next is the method using the distortion relational expression. First, calculate the curve formula from the distortion chart. Next, measure the distance from the center of the screen to the emission line and apply it to the curve formula to calculate the correct wavelength value. Finally, infer the elements derived from the luminescence.
Currently, the analysis is performed by the conventional method, but in the future, we would like to use this method to perform the analysis work more easily.
Finally, it is about the tendency survey of the contained elements for each meteor shower. First, we collect spectroscopic images of meteors taken in the past for each meteor shower. Next, use the distortion correction formula to find those wavelengths. Then, identify the contained elements. Finally, the results are summarized in a table and the trends of each meteor shower are considered.
About the result. So far, about 507,400 photos have been taken and 65 meteor photos have been taken.
Consideration,
"We were able to photograph the most meteors in the twin group." "Oxygen forbidden emission emission was confirmed at a considerable rate outside the twin group. As a result, the twin group has a higher ground velocity than the other meteor showers. It is considered to be small. ”“ Na I was confirmed in a large proportion in all groups except for the twin group. The reason for the small number in the twin group is that the elapsed time from the formation of Na is long, Na contained in the parent body "The overall tendency is that the bright lines of Na and Mg were confirmed in a large proportion, but the bright lines of Ca, Fe, O, Si and N were not so much confirmed." "Na , Mg is stably contained in many meteors. "" Ca ~ N is low in intensity and is contained but not spectroscopic. " "MgI was confirmed from all meteors, and NaI and MgII were confirmed from most meteors, regardless of the intensity of the emission line."
Etc. were considered.
Issues and prospects.
"Establish an analysis method using the relational expression of the distortion chart and actually introduce it." "Continue observation of meteor showers and simultaneous observations at multiple points, and the tendency of elements in each group and the relationship between altitude and oxygen forbidden emission. "Clarify" "Especially investigate the meteor shower in more detail" "Based on the intensity of the meteor shower and the contained elements, etc., what kind of tendency each meteor shower has?" Find out from "
And so on.
