[PAE17-P09] Japanese contribution to development of Ariel
キーワード:アリエル、系外惑星、トランジット、AIRS、CaF2光学素子、ESA
Ariel (Atmospheric Remote-sensing Infrared Exoplanet Large-survey) is an ESA-led space telescope project dedicated for exoplanet spectroscopic transit observations. Ariel has been selected for ESA / M4 (2020) and its launch is scheduled for 2029. Ariel is expected to be an important milestone in exoplanet observations. The Japanese team are working to participate Arierl as a Co-PI country (chair of Ariel-J WG: Masahiro Ikoma). For that purpose, contribution to development is required. Based on technical heritages in Japan, the Japanese team are in charge of developing calcium fluoride (CaF2) optical devices: lenses, prisms, wideband infrared anti-reflection coating, and the qualification test. These products will be used in AIRS (infrared spectrometer, development is led by France team).
