The ESA/NASA Solar Orbiter mission was launched in February 2020. It completed its cruise phase at the end of 2021, and is now starting its science phase. The mission's goal are to understand how the inner heliosphere works, and of the effects of solar activity on it. The mission has ten instruments - a combination of remote sensing and in-situ instruments. The in-situ instrument were mostly operational during the cruise phase, and the remote sensing instruments had 'check-out' windows in which the first data was obtained. I will review the first results from the mission, and discuss the plans for the next operational phases.
