[PPS03-P04] Progress report of development and ground calibration of DESTINY+ Dust Analyser 2022
キーワード:宇宙塵、小惑星フェートン、衝突電離型質量分析器
This presentation reports the current status of development and ground calibration of DESTINY+ Dust Analyser (DDA) to be onboard DESTINY+ spacecraft for the flyby observation of an asteroid 3200 Phaethon. DDA is an impact ionization TOF-MS dust analyser to reveal the mineral and organic molecular species by measuring positive ions generated upon hypervelocity impact of dust particles. The engineering model (EM) of DDA is in fabrication and some functional tests (pointing mechanism bearing test) have been successfully finished. For the ground calibration, the mineral and organic molecular sample materials are in preparation, e.g. the homogenity check of mineral samples to generate micro-sized particles for the dust accelerator. The functioning of the electrostatic dust accelerator at Stuttgart University has been confirmed at the trial run state with less than the nominal acceleration voltage.
