[PPS05-09] Temperatures at the limb from Akatsuki's LIR camera data

★Invited Papers

*Sanjay S Limaye1 (1.University of Wisconsin Madison)

Keywords:Venus, limb, temperature

Full disk images of Venus from the LIR camera on Akatsuki orbiter in the 8-12 micrometer have been used to determine the latitudinal and local time variations of the brightness temperature at the limb. The limb location is determined by subpixel interpolation of the radiance variation in the radial direction from the planet center by locating the maximum gradient. The results are consistent with other measurements.
